Chaos Rising releases on 22 May 2026 as the fourth expansion in the Mega Evolution series, Pokémon has announced. The set has 122 cards – 86 in the main set and 36 secret rares, as Serebii's list shows – and corresponds to the Japanese set Ninja Spinner.
Five Mega Pokémon ex
The set centres on Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Dragalge ex and Mega Gallade ex, all tied to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Among the secret rares, PokeGuardian counts 18 Ultra Rares, 11 Illustration Rares and 6 Special Illustration Rares, plus Mega Greninja ex as a Mega Hyper Rare at number 122.
Prerelease and products
Prerelease events run from 9 to 17 May at participating stores. The Build & Battle Box – a ready-to-play 40-card deck with one of four promos: Delphox, Ampharos, Crobat or Goodra – is available there ahead of release. At launch, the line-up includes the Elite Trainer Box with nine boosters and a Fennekin promo, and the Pokémon Center edition with eleven boosters and two promos.
In the US and in Australia and New Zealand, launch also brings Ho-Oh, Keldeo and Delphox promos as gifts with $15 of card game purchases, PokeGuardian reports. No such promotion had been announced for Europe by mid-May.
