By the end of March 2026, more than 85 billion Pokémon Trading Card Game cards had been produced worldwide, about 10 billion of them in fiscal year 2025/26. That comes from The Pokémon Company's corporate figures, as PokeGuardian reports. A single year now accounts for almost 12 percent of all Pokémon cards ever printed.
| Fiscal year | Total by year end | Printed in the year (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| 2020/21 | 34.1bn | – |
| 2021/22 | 43.2bn | 9.1bn |
| 2022/23 | 52.9bn | 9.7bn |
| 2023/24 | 64.9bn | 12.0bn |
| 2024/25 | 75.0bn | 10.1bn |
| 2025/26 | 85bn+ | about 10bn |
The cumulative total grew by just over 13 percent last year; annual output itself stayed roughly level with the year before, after the record of about 12 billion cards in 2023/24. Since fiscal year 2021/22, annual production has exceeded the world's population, Dexerto calculates. The game is now sold in more than 90 countries and regions.
