PSA will take Value submissions again from 29 October at 8 am Pacific time, and this time the tier opens in all four of its regions at once: the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. The price per card rises to $39.99, up from $32.99 before the tier was paused at the start of summer.
The terms are tighter than before. According to Sports Collectors Digest, the maximum insured value per card is $500 and the estimated turnaround is 90 to 100 business days, or 120 in Japan. New Value orders join the queue behind every submission already at PSA, so existing customers' delivery estimates stay as they are. PSA has not published a euro price in the coverage so far; Canada pays $56.99.
The reopening comes before PSA reached its own target. The company had promised to bring back the Value tiers once its backlog fell to five million items, but the latest figure is 7.2 million. Value Bulk, the cheapest option at $24.99 per card, stays closed until that threshold is met. The next backlog update is due on 3 November.
From 28 October, PSA also shortened its estimates for new orders on two paid tiers: Standard ($59.99) now quotes 70 to 80 business days and Priority ($79.99) 50 to 60, each 20 days less than before.
